About the DepartmentThe department of Education, Raja N. L. Khan Women’s college was formed in 2017. Departmental faculty members are committed to impart good quality education among the students. The aim of the department is to develop deep and wide knowledge in the subject of Education and to make students accountable to society by developing moral and human values in them. Apart from the lecture method, the department encourages the learning of students through presentation of short seminar paper by the students, group discussions of the students in presence of the teachers, question answer session by students. The department faculties and students also put a combine effort to educate the rural children under the program named ‘We Care’. Microteaching and informal teaching is done in small groups even beyond scheduled contact hours. Publication of departmental magazine “Patatra” and wall magazine “Suchetana” under the guidance of teachers. The teachers keep eye on each student’s weakness and strength in respect of preparation of university examination. The students also keep constant touch with the department for personal and academic counselling. To expose the students to latest developments in educational and social sectors, the department organizes seminars, discussions, debate and special lectures on contemporary issues. Students are encouraged to take up the responsibility for organizing academic, society out reach programs and extracurricular events so as to enhance their administrative and creative skills. |
