29.08.2022 1.  To discuss the preparation of AQAR 2021--2022. The work done w.r.t to the initiatives of  the IQAC was discussed and all the members appreciated the effort put forward by all the stakeholders. Data collection process was decided to be initiated for the preparation of AQAR 2021-2022
2. To place the revised Code of Ethics-Policy Document. The revised Code of Ethics-Policy Document was placed before the IQAC and it was unanimously approved by all the members. It was further decided to put it for discussion in the Academic Council for final approval.
3. To discuss about upcoming NAAC related preparations. . It was decided to review the status of the infrastructural facilities of the college.
4. To discuss on the promotion of research activities. It was unanimously decided to initiate the purchase of Turnitin Plagiarism Software and also renew Web of Science Subscription. The Purchase committee Convenor was informed of this decision

 

5. Misc.
i) To consider the building of the classrooms on the 3rd Floor of the RUSA building and developing a stage for performance of cultural activities
As many new PG departments are being envisioned to be opened during the upcoming academic session, so it was decided to complete the work of the 3rd Floor of the RUSA building in order to have at least six classrooms.
ii. To consider the building of the classrooms for Chemistry PG and Maths PG by extending the subsequent building. The building of the classrooms for Chemistry PG and Maths PG by extending the subsequent building portion was decided to complete within the year. The portion assigned was completed within the year.
16.12.2022 1. To initiate the approval, funding and construction of the rain water harvesting system in the college. As part of the various environment friendly initiatives, IQAC has decided to establish a rain water harvesting system in the college. For this purpose it was decided that funding proposal to be sent to the State Government and also approach different other avenues. The college received Rs 19,00,000/- from the Govt. Of West Bengal to establish one such system in the college premises.
2. To propose the establishment of NAAC Advisory committee and NAAC Coordination Committee. It was decided to establish NAAC Advisory committee comprising of senior and experienced faculties who would provide insightful suggestions and view while the NAAC Coordination Committee with representatives from all stakeholders and departments.
3. To establish more smart-classrooms and ICT enabled facilities in the college New smart-classrooms and ICT enabled classrooms were established  in the college
4. To develop a purchase policy of the Institute. Purchase policy of the college was framed and approved by the Finance Committee and subsequent approval was taken from the Governing Body of the College.
5. To develop an organogram of the college and put it in the college website. The  organogram of the college was prepared and put up in the college Website.
6.  To establish MoU and faculty linkage  in order to foster improved teaching and research environment of the college. MoU was established with Ramkrishna Mission Residential College Narendrapur, Brainware University, Sabang Sajanikanta Mahavidyalaya and Bankura Sammilani College. Faculty linkages were established with Dr. Dhrubajyoti Mandal Professor, Dept of Chemistry Viswa Bharati; Prof. Jayanta Chakraborty, Dept of Chemical Engineering IIT Kharagpur; Dr. Anirban Dasgupta, Dept of Electrical Engineering, IIT Guwahati, Prof. Damodar Mishra, Dept of Hindi, Vidyasagar University. MoU was also established with Finray Pvt Ltd as industrial partner
7. To develop the college website into a new look having all the necessary links as given in NAAC guidelines. The College website was renovated with the help of the selected website developer.  A one day Sensitization Workshop on “NAAC Revised Accreditation Framework” was conducted.
8. To report the mentorship programme for the students in order to provide them support and guidance. The Mentorship Committee along  with Dr. Partha Pratim Roy and Dr. Rashmi Mukherjee as Coordinators carried out the first all college fees concession meetings and a total of 73 students were offered financial support and fees waiver from college fund.
9.  To formulate the Code of Ethics in Research IQAC along with the research Policy Development Committee of the R & D cell of the college were entrusted with developing the Code of Ethics in Research for the college. It was also decided to put it up in display on the college website and at prominent places within the campus.
22.02.2023 1.   To discuss the preparation of AQAR 21--2022. The AQAR report was discussed and the gap areas were identified so that initiatives could be worked upon in the coming years. Special emphasis was given to initiate welfare programs for teaching and Non-teaching staff as well as improve the research environment of the college.
2.   To discuss about upcoming NAAC related preparations. It was decided to hold regular meetings of the NAAC Advisory committee and the NAAC Coordination Committee to follow-up about the upcoming NAAC related preparations. Six meetings have been held so far since 01.02.2023.
3. To organize workshops/ webinars for awareness of NEP. IQAC members informed the registration and admission Cell of the college to organize workshops for awareness of NEP. It was also decided that the UGC NEP-2020
4. To initiate Spring and Summer Workshop for promoting Indian Traditional Knowledge It was decided that IQAC along with  “Parampara”- A Centre for Study of Indian Traditional Knowledge and Culture founded in the college will jointly organize  Spring and Summer Workshop for promoting Indian Traditional Knowledge. For this purpose 5-6 schools were earmarked and visited to understand the need of the students. Also,  A special Program of Dance was organized in association with  Sri Shiva Kumara Kala Sangha
5.  To discuss on the promotion of research activities. Guidelines for Research Incentives Awards for faculty members of our college were approved for the year 2022-2023 in the IQAC and put forwarded.
6. To discuss the progress regarding ISO certification Preparations for ISO 21001:2018 Standard Certification for Educational Organizations was initiated by the IQAC in November of 2022. Bureau Veritas (India) Private Limited, Kolkata, an NABCB (National Accreditation Board For Certification Bodies) recognized certification agency, was selected to oversee the certification process after quotations were received from 4 such agencies. The Certification was granted after audits conducted over two stages. Stage 1 Audit was successfully conducted on 13th and 14th February 2023 by Mr. Subrata Majumdar, Lead Auditor, Bureau Veritas (India) Private Limited. After identifying minor non-conformities that needed to be corrected, Stage 2 Audit was conducted by Mr. Majumdar from 11th to 13th April, 2023.
7. To discuss about the basic amenities of college It was decided to procure colour coded dustbins for waste disposal. Also an agreement was signed with MKDA to remove garbages from the vat which were built at strategic points in the college campus.
8. To discuss about green audit and energy audit The IQAC was informed that the Green Audit, Energy Audit and Environment Audit of our College would be conducted by Greenvio Solutions, an accredited & Certified Green Building Professional.
9. To seek funds for NAAC related activities and development of the college. In order to seek funds for NAAC related activities, IQAC approached various industries and 14 industries participated in the 1st Industry-Academia Meet held on 27th May, 2023. So far, the college has received Rs.17 lakh from KETEX-AMERSIL as CSR funding for the construction of the Butterfly Garden, herbal medicinal garden and for painting of the walls of the Biodiversity Park. Talks are also underway with various other Banks for further funding.
30.05.23 1. To induct a new member in the IQAC committee in place of Dr. Anusree Saha as she has resigned from the college. Dr. Harekrishna Jana, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Microbiology was inducted in the IQAC committee in place of Dr. Anusree Saha as she has resigned from the college.
2. To induct a new member in the  IQAC committee in place of Ms. Anushka Mondal as student representative Ms. Siuli Das  was inducted as a new member in the  IQAC committee in place of Ms. Anushka Mondal as student representative
3. To discuss the Departmental data status regarding AQAR 2021-2022 It was found that the departments were facing difficulties in gathering the information related to higher education and placement data from the students after they leave out. For this purpose it was decided that Departmental Alumni meet would be organized at regular intervals so that this difficulty eases out. Also, all the departments organised Alumni series lectures.
4. To discuss about ISO certification and its related continual work. The ISO 21001:2018 Standard Certification was granted to our College on 12th May, 2023, after thorough audit of the Management systems of our College which was found to be in accordance with the requirements of the Management System Standard.
5. To discuss about the progress of green audit and energy audit of the college. Green Audit, Energy Audit and Environment Audit of our College was conducted by Greenvio Solutions, an accredited & Certified Green Building Professional, for two years (2020-2021, 2021-2022), valid upto August 2023. The audit reports were displayed in the college website.
6. To discuss the preparedness for NEP 2020 w.r.t the UG Departments All the UG Departments had framed their NEP based syllabus for the first two semesters in their respective BOS and the IQAC put forward their proposal to the Academic Council for the admission of the next academic UG batch based on UGC NEP-2020 system.
7. To discuss the development of Medical Unit in the College Campus. A room in the Administrative Building is being renovated to serve as a designated Medical Unit in the College Campus.
8. To organise a Hands on Computer Training for the Non-Teaching Staff of the college The IQAC decided to introduce a Hands-on Computer Training programme for NTS of our College in the next Academic Session.
9. To discuss about various Faculty Development Programmes in the College. It was decided that the IQAC, in collaboration with various departments of the College would initiate Faculty Development Programmes in the next Academic Session.
10. Miscellaneous.
i. To construct cycle stands
ii. to initiate buying of vending machine, incinerators etc.
i. To apply e-governance and procure the ERP module
Five Cycle stands were constructed. The purchase committee were informed to buy vending machine and incinerators both for the college and hostel facilities. The IQAC decided to purchase the ERP module so that faculty self appraisal is easily done.
